Midsize sedan face-off: the 2019 Toyota Camry versus 2019 Honda Accord

The Toyota Camry and Honda Accord have been rivals for decades, and both midsize sedans are at the top of their game. To prove why you'll ultimately want to buy or lease a 2019 Toyota Camry from our Sandusky dealership instead of a 2019 Honda Accord from a competitor, we've put together this Camry vs Accord comparison page.

The Camry has 2 engines. There's a 2.5L that's on most trims, and it has 203 horsepower. Two of the Camry trims get a 3.5L V6 engine that has a whopping 301 horsepower, and you best believe that drives around Norwalk OH will be extra exhilarating! The Accord's 2 engines lag. The 1.5L turbo has 192 horsepower, and the larger 2.0L turbo only gives up 252 horsepower. Both models do have hybrid setups in case you want to be more fuel-savvy in your Lorain commutes.

Exteriors & Interiors

The midsize segment used to be all about "mature" styling, but we're seeing a lot more aesthetic diversity. While the Honda Accord is going for a more buttoned-up look, the Camry isn't afraid to show of its sportier side. On select trims you can even get bright Cockpit Red leather seats that are the furthest from wallflower upholstery. The Camry can also come with real Tiger Wood trim, whereas the Accord only offers faux wood. If you want to stand out the most, then we'd suggest getting behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry rather than a Honda Accord.

The Camry and the Accord are closely matched in the tech department. For example, both can have touchscreens, wireless charging pads, and premium speakers so you can blast your playlist in Amherst OH. One thing that stands out about the Camry is the available bird's eye view that you can get with some package upgrades. The Accord doesn't have that, and we think that feature shouldn't just be reserved for SUVS.

Next Steps

Like Batman and the Joker, the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord will always be at odds, though this competition does keep our model on its tires, which is good. If you're ready to take home the winner - aka: the Toyota Camry - stop into our dealership this week.
